The 4 Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do

Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings.

What is Rotary

San Diego South Bay Rotary Club Medical Mission to Guatemala

Members of the Rotary Club of San Diego South Bay came back from their successful medical and dental mission in Quetzaltenango (Xela) Guatemala.

The group left 11/7/15 and came back 11/14/15.

Members who went to the Medical Mission were Club President Romo Saliuan, Freda Pet, President Elect Malu Ramos, Rosie Mallari,

Director Florian Pet, PN Joyce Santos, Director Joe Hortillosa, Rose Saliuan, Club Secretary Pat Quebada and RN volunteer Janna Chin.

Members of the Rotary Club of San Diego South Bay and its local counterparts provided Medical and Dental services to residents of nearby communities of Xela mostly Mayans who live in the nearby mountains. The mission was conducted in cooperation with Clinica Primeros Pasos an NGO in Xela, Guatemala established to help the community who otherwise will not have any medical, dental, and sanitary care. The Rotarians provided the clinic with boxes containing medicines, vitamins, toothbrush, toothpaste and other healthcare products to be given out to patients seen by the clinic. Monies were also donated to the clinic to buy needed equipment.

To reach one of the mission sites, in the foot of the mountain 8000 feet above the city level, the group traveled through rugged and unpaved zig-zag roads. Several hundreds of patients were given medical and dental care including mothers and their babies. Sandwiches and candies were also handed out to children.
